Constructed of a 4mm-thick aluminum base plate and 3mm-thick side plates for heavy-duty light-weight protection. Where the base plates and side plates overlap it forms a riveted 7mm-thick rail for extra rigidity. I had looked at several other products similar to this one. SW-MOTECH was the cleanest design in my opinion. Easy to install, less than 10 mins. My only complaint is the SW-MOTECH logo won’t rub off, I tried acetone and a scotch pad, no luck…didn’t want to get too rough with it. I just don’t like 3rd party branding on my bike.
