    Super high quality, limited compatibility...

I was extremely impressed by the design and strength of the plate and supports. But it was unfortunately not compatible with the Givi crash bars already on my bike (’17 Versys 650). It IS compatible with Motech crash bars and centre stand though. Hope that steers you in the right direction.

  2. Wonko the Sane

    More protection and better looking.

I bought this and a centerstand for friends of mine. They’re for her bike; a rabbit ran into the fairing lower, shattering the plastic, and since chain maintenance is much easier with a centerstand, it just made sense to do both at once.

I wasn’t involved in the installation, but it took a long time because they had to combine the instructions and even then ended up backtracking somewhat. Dave had a friend from work who brought his father, who offered a knowledgeable third set of eyes as well as a conscience – “Are you positive you tightened ALL the bolts?” Upon rechecking, there was one still loose. Thank you sir!

Even if you were only installing one of these items, two people are required (for either item) and obviously it doesn’t hurt to have three.
