difficult to install—-where were the engineers when it was designed—-an annoying job to replace each time one wants to change the filter—-2 judiciously placed holes would make it easier……

Installed this weekend. You need to have patients if your gonna do this yourself. It fits close to the motor, so room to work is very limited. The skid plate is much more rugged than it appears on line. The oil filter is gonna be tough to access, and no oil drain hole….is the reason for the three star rating. I like the construction and I think it will protect the engine nicely. Hoping I can finagle that filter out without removing the plate. Oil drain hole will be drilled. Recommend it?? As long as you don’t mind reengineering something that an engineer already designed? Sure.
