R&G radiator shield - No airflow

    Greg

I bought this for a 2015 FJR. Installed with foam according to directions and on 1st ride my temps which are normally in the 160 – 180 range while riding shot up to 200+ and would not come back down even when increasing road speed. Temp was 230 when I pulled into my driveway and shut off the bike on a very shorted ride. Replaced stock shield and temps went right back down to 160-180. After I took the shield off I wanted to test the airflow penetration so I took my air hose and shot it at the shield while it covered my face and there was minimal air flow hitting me. Disappointed as it has excellent build quality but no airflow due to small openings in wire mesh. Others indicate it worked for them, just not the unit I received.
