    SW-MOTECH KOBRA; Handguard Kit

I installed these with the Handguard Extensions and LED Light kit on my 2016 Honda NC700X DCT/ABS. Was easy to install. (I do have some wiring experience and mechanical ability). Took my time installing, being careful to make sure everything was done correctly. I also tried for looks to have the LED lights stay on constant by wiring it to the running lights. This was OK but decided against it and used the LEDs as intended for turn signal and flasher use. It adds a little extra safety for side visual viewing for the cars/traffic around me when turning. The hand protection also works as a shield for the often cold Minnesota weather and wind. Especially since I do not have heated grips.

    Handsome handguards

I’ve waited a year before deciding what handguards to put on my Honda 2014CB500X. These look great and help to keep my fingers warm on cold days. Fairly easy to put on.

    Great Protection and Styling!

I added the SW-Motech Kobra handguards to my Honda NC700X and I am very pleased with the product. The guards are very stout and should provide excellent protection if my bike ends up on it’s side. Plus they really compliment the look of the NC700X.

    CB500X KOBRA Handguards

I purchased this kit for my 2014 CB500X with the optional extension kit for added wind and storm protection. Product quality is of the utmost. I was very impressed with how well the products are made and packaged. However, installation was a bit tricky. The instructions indicate you remove the stock bar-end weights, which can be quite the task, and then mentions an incorrect position for the inner mounting pieces (They should bend up and not down). If you assemble with the parts pointing down you will immediately know you’ve done something wrong as it will smash into the tank, windscreen, and limit cable movement.

I am extremely happy with the way they worked out. Part of me wishes I would have left the stock bar-end weights on the bike to limit hand vibrations (I do get more now). But, never-the-less, these handguards really work with the aesthetics of the motorcycle and give a polished look all while protecting my hands from the elements.
