Description
This slider was designed to be engine mounted.
The protector itself is machined from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) – chosen because as it wears it actually helps to slow a sliding bike. The bolts used are also de-embrittled steel; working as a shock absorber to bend instead of snapping or staying rigid – which could twist the mounting point.

Tinwoods –
I’ll give these the same review I’ve given most other slider reviews. Along with a good lock, these sliders are the next best way to replace (or supplant) insurance. A month ago, I wrecked my Superduke 990 (anther cager on a cellphone!), and though the bike slid 78-feet according to the cop with the tape, other than the usual broken bar-end mirror, damaged bar-end, shaved brake pedal and scratched shorty brake lever, the only other damage I suffered were my two sets of frame sliders being scored down, the low one to the nub. Instead of an otherwise total write-off of $6000 worth of bike, all it cost to restore my bike to pre-crash status was about a couple hundred bucks — including the slider puck replacements.
