This race version offers the highest level of protection with a replaceable slider puck at the impact face for even greater impact absorption and wear resistance over the standard engine case cover. Hearty 4mm thick polypropylene construction is molded to fit perfectly over the right-side clutch case cover protecting it from top to bottom. Installation is straightforward and simple utilizing the existing mounting holes without the need for modifications oil loss or gasket replacement. Twisted Throttle went to all of the trouble to get this product for me: the sales department was great. Unfortunately the product is terrible. I had to oversize two of the mounting holes of the case guard to make the provided spacer/hardware line up with the clutch cover threads. If I didn’t do that I’m sure I would have stripped threads.
The long hex bolt provided was too long and bottomed out in the location pointed out in the directions. The cover was never tight against the original clutch cover case.
I loved R&G products on my Tuono, I’m really saddened to have all these problems with their product.
