    Perfect Fit

    Africa Twin 1

Purchased these 1 month ago and they are perfect. The fit is perfect and they provide good coverage of the side panels and radiators. Highly recommended.

Perfect fit, easy to install and good quality

    superfunkomatic

These engine guards/crash protectors fit great. The tolerances are perfect and the kit was easy to install. SW Motech makes quality products and like others that I’ve purchased always fit exactly as described on each motorcycle.

Took a little spill and am happy to say that these bars did their job. Fairing did not touch ground. Coating was scratched a little by the rocks. Very pleased with the performance.

    Quality bars

    Dale

Solid bars, better reinforced and thicker than their GIVI counterparts. Installation is a bit of a process but the instructions are super clear and understandable. Look great and feel solid, hopefully I never have to use them. My only gripe is that unlike their GIVI counterpart they don’t have an upper guard for the fairing available. Perhaps that will come in the future. Until then I am satisfied

    Good instructions

    Kalahari K

There’s a hidden spacer originally on the left side of the bike which falls into the belly pan when you disassemble. The rest is good.

    Solid Purchase

    CHellsmith

I bought these for two reasons – To protect the guts of my bike, and to give me a place to clamp some highway pegs so I could stretch my legs out. While they look nice, and will definitely protect the lowers of my bike, there isn’t a very good place to put any highway pegs (at least not the kind that are optional accessories).

The instructions were clear, and the installation wasn’t unduly difficult (though it is a bit tricky here and there, and it’s certainly a two-man job).

They look nice, they seem sturdy, and overall, I’m quite satisfied. They’d be 5-star material if there were a better place to mount the clamp-and-peg kit!

    Crash Protection

    Kmasa58

I got this about a month ago and although it took a bit of aligning and adjusting, it turned out to be very solid protection for the bike once it was done. I have the new Honda Africa Twin DCT model and I wish the engine guard extended down bit lower. I know there’s another ‘section’ that I can purchase for another $200+ … ugh. Any who, all in all, this one provides a very solid protection for both radiators and some protection to the DCT portion of my engine. I’m pretty happy with it and Twisted Throttle always have the items I want in stock & provided very fast shipping to my door.

I really wanted to love these.. but they dont work

    Justin

I dont like the look of the full wrap around crash bars. I have been running these and unfortunately found out that they simply dont protect the bike.. on a recent ride the bike tipped over off the kickstand on uneven ground.. I didn’t have my panniers on for the trip so the bark busters and the SW Motech crash bars took the impact. This single tip over unfortunately pushed the RH side crash bar in until it was nearly touching the body work. It didn’t carry the weight of the bike at all.. aesthetically I really like these crash bars.. but they are not up to the task they are intended and sold for. If a simply tip over will deform them what would an actual crash do?

    Well made product

    Luma46

As most of SWM products this is well and solid made. The installation was straight forward, but not simple. The front lower bolts are fairly hard to reach and tighten because the exhaust pipes are in the way, but doable with right tools. Do not tighten any bolts until you have all parts in place
