G650GS 2014 –
Look great. Very solid. Blend nicely with the bike. Easy install and did not interfere with a happy trails skid plate.

Bars install realatively easily. (i had to take by lower engine gaurd off and bend the corner of it to make it fit)
Once on, they are super study. Providing some serious protection
Only complaint is that my knee rubs on the bars. I’m 6′ and my knees just touch the bars. I purchases some foam to wrap the bars and protect my knees.

Upon receiving these bars the first thing that impressed me was how stout they are. Seriously beefy – though mounted up on the bike they don’t look out of place at all. On the contrary the fit and finish is very nice, and with the three mounting points on each side I think one would be hard pressed to find better protection on the market. One thing that I like about these bars in particular is that they seem to fill the gap between engine and fairing (and radiator) protection, offering all of the above. Others don’t. Only downside I could say to this product is that I had to trim the stock skid plate on my 2014 Sertao model to get it to mount back in its’ original tabs. Not a hard modification however. This appeared to be due to slightly dissimilar sized bars. Made in Czech Republic.

The bars bolted up fairly quickly after I figured out the IKEA style (pictures only) instructions. I also found out there was one spot on my TT belly pan that needed trimmed away to allow the SWMT bars to mount (5 minutes with a Dremel tool).
The bike is a 2013 Sertao

I hope I never need it but it mounted up effortlessly on my G650GS and features a 3 point attachment design which in my mind is better than all the rest with only two bolts.

They look and feel strong and robust, however they did not fit 100% on my BMW G650GS 2014, between 2 persons we had to put them together applying some force so we could fit all screws and bolts, After about 1hr they were finally assembled and like I said, they are pretty nice and robust.

After 6 month of use. They broken. I never left my bike fall down and one day I found a n small crack on the right crashbar. I go to the shopping store and they realse the crashbar and then it broken in the different parts 🙁 so sad.

I got these to replace a set from another manufacturer whose welds aren’t exactly strong. I was immediately impressed with the quality, the ruggedness and the design of the SW Motech bars. The pipes are thick. The fit is perfect. And I like the way the design gives the bike a fuller look up front like a bull. Install was easy enough. Compared to other makers’ designs, these are everything I wanted. It’s important to emphasize the 3 solid mounting points where the others use only 2. Hugely satisfied. Also note I ride the Sertao model and they fit just right. There are a few nice options for mounting lights as well.

These are your typical SW Motech high quality, bomber proof construction.
The install was easy and they provide plenty of protection. This matched with a heavier duty skid plate seem to be the best option for the Sertao. The bars bolt on in places and do not float like the Touratwch upper and crash bars.
I am very pleased with tthe purchase. Twisted throttle was great to do business with as well.
