Generous 22mm diameter 2mm thick steel tubing is up to the task of safeguarding your rig. Simple & easy bolt-on installation requires no drilling cutting welding or other modifications to install these crash bars. Seems like a solid set of crash bars. Not hard to assemble. Only gave it four out of five stars because the instructions are lousy and I don’t want/need the GIVI plastic badges that were included in the package. The bars themselves seem to work out just fine but the hardware is somewhat cheap.
