ArrestRed –
Installed both the front and rear sliders two days ago. I have only average mechanical skills but was able to to do complete the installation successfully as the directions were clear and the parts fit perfectly.
One issue. Pay careful attention to the axle blocks. At first look they seem identical, but the right axle block has a narrower lip on the front of the block. SW-Motech notes this by giving a different part number to each axle block but the picture, of the part, barely shows the difference. Your axle will not line up correctly if you install these on the wrong sides (my mistake, not SW-Motech’s).
I haven’t fallen down sine they’ve been installed so I can’t comment as to how well they protect the expensive parts of my bike (BMW 2015 F800GS Adventure).
