I put a set of these on my BMW f700 gs last January for a 2 month trip thru Central America. Road 52 days and 11000 + miles. They got me home and lasted thru the summer for another 2 or 3 thousand. I replace the rear which still had some street life left in it the front is still not to the wear marks. I found the dry traction on the street good but not so good in the rain which may be due to the dirty roads. Off road they are as good as any 50/50 tire I have used. I like the stiffer side wall on the Dakar because I can run a lower pressure off road without too much worry of damaging the cast rims on the F700. If you want a tire that will last for a long tour these will do the job. Big bike tires can be hard to find outside of the USA and expensive.
