Description
Designed specifically for all Scottoiler Chain Oilers the Traditional Blue Scottoil Chain Lubricant is specifically blended to offer correct flow rates and lubrication in even the most extreme riding conditions. Scottoil chain lubricant contains only 5% tack additive. Competitors have formulas that harbor a high level of tack meaning the lube collects dirt and grit which over time generates fling and creates a “grinding paste” (see image above) that is detrimental to the lifespan of your chain and rotor. Using Scottoil improves transmission efficiency minimizes fling and reduces chain and sprocket wear. If your motorcycle adventure encompasses riding from one temperature to the next feel free to top off your Scottoiler with the High Temperature Red Scottoil chain lubricant.
PLEASE NOTE: Scottoiler’s filling & priming spout is now sold separately.

This oil lubes the chain and is very easy to clean up any that flings, as in wipe it off with a paper towel easy. Try that with the tacky chain lubes. If you’re going to spend the money on a Scottoiler, use their oil. It works great.

Chain is much cleaner, haven’t needed to adjust chain in months.
No having to remember to clean off and spray down chain.

I tour on my Kawasaki ZRX 1100. The one thing I disliked was lubing my chain every 500 or so miles. But the first couple of years I owned this motorcycle I faithfully did this maintenance. Then I heard of the Scott Oiler. I was skeptical at first. Adjusting it for the right amount oil was the most bothersome part, but finally with trial and error I’ve got it down. I’ve had one on My ZRX since 2004 when I installed a new chain and sprockets. That was 55,000 miles ago. That’s correct! Same chain and sprockets. Buy the best chain DID ZVM 530 and stock sprockets. Find the sweet spot for the drip rate and forget you are touring with a chain drive. Chain wear is so negligible I don’t need to even adjust the chain between tire changes. And the chain always stays clean and lightly lubricated.
I’ve tried the Blue Scott oil and the Red Scott oil version. The Blue oil is way less messy and superior at staying off the tire, rim, and fender. And as far as I know Twisted Throttle is the only U.S. based distributor for Scott Oil products.
Highly recommended if you don’t like lubing, cleaning, and adjusting your chain driven motorcycle!!!

I keep my scottoiler turned on and always use their blue lube. It has never failed me yet riding my 06 Vstrom 650 here in North Florida. For the past 10 years it has taken the stress out of wondering weather or not my chain well lubed.
