This Scottoiler dispenser plate (small) 10mm is a replacement piece. The part is designed to securely hold the injector nib so it touches the face of the sprocket. This little component operates in some harsh environmental conditions. If the dispenser plate gets damaged replace it with a genuine Scottoiler part.
