    Good news...Bad news

I bought this map holder because of it’s ability to hold a larger size map. I was not disappointed.
I was skeptical of the mounting system but those concerns were unwarranted as I just finished a 6100 mile trip, some of it in very windy conditions and it never budged.
Now the bad news… I rode through some very light rain and my maps soon became soaked. Turns out the welting around the clear plastic actually absorbs water and soon the maps are getting wet and the edges of the map pocket actually start to fog up. I’m going to try and find a way to waterproof the edges or put the maps in zip lock bags.
Yes, I’ll recommend this to a friend but with a warning of this short coming
