Excellent Bag 100% waterproof, stand alone or add-on

I have both the 38L and this 28L bag. When I go on long trips (more than a week) I use both bags, but anything for one week or less I use just this bag. I love the double end feature. It can stay strapped on my back rack and everything is easily accessible from either end. It is essentially a compression bag as well because the two ends roll down even more than the 3 rolls (required to keep this waterproof). There is no vent so you have to squeeze the bulk of the air out before the final rolls, but it really does compress down well. Note, the 38L, while larger, has a very narrow opening in the top limiting the size of items one can force inside. Both of Mine are 9 years old and have over 100,000 miles on them. Never leaked once, vinyl is still 100% intact and working fine. When i combine with the 38L on the longer trips I usually use the 28 for my tent, poles, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad ground cloth, fly, Jet boil and so on (all camping stuff). It is longer than the 38L and because of the dual ends it allows the tent poles to fit in easily. But when alone I stuff all my weather gear (goretex pants, jacket, heated jacket, gloves) I put my bag of tools and air pump etc in the very center to centralize the weight and because I seldom need that. great product. I see they have upgraded the bag since I bought mine. the new ones have a handle on top and the daisy chain slots for straps. Mine doesn’t have the handle so a nice add-on feature. And, BTW. when empty it folds very flat and doesn’t take up any room for storage.
