Description
The STEEL-RACK can be mounted with or without SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock side racks (available separately). This product installs quickly using basic hand tools. No cutting drilling or welding of existing motorcycle components required. All mounting hardware included. The Steel-Rack has a black powder coated finish and includes detailed installation instructions. As an added bonus the top rack includes pre-drilled holes to accept the RotopaX adapter to mount a RotopaX Pack to your bike!
If you plan to mount a topcases be sure to purchase the correct topcase adapter hardware. This is accomplished by selecting the correct STEEL-RACK Adapter Hardware: from the drop down options when adding the Steel-Rack to the shopping cart.

Special Note: This toprack will not allow the installation of the Givi adapter plate which is required to install Givi quick connect electrical items. Givi cases WILL attach to this rack without the adapter plate but the quick connect electrical feature cannot be installed.

Purchased to adapt a Givi topcase I already had to a DRZ, and compared to the OE Givi hardware I had on my last bike, which wasn’t bad at all, this thing is incredibly well built. Can lift the whole bike up by it easily without it budging. Super easy to install.
The only issue I found is that the bolts that mount through the seat stick out JUST enough to occasionally catch your knee on them if you’re a little short and have to exert some effort getting on the DRZ.

Dundee –
My Bike was knocked over whilst parked on its side-stand. It simply fell to the exhaust side and hit the topbox which twisted the entire rack. The SW-Motech Side Pannier Rack stayed rock-solid, but the top-rack is wrecked. Also the topbox position is too far forward, hitting you in the back over bumps and impossible to carry a pillion. A full redesign of this rack is required. Its easy to install and functioned well for the price.
