Description
Includes Givi fitting lugs and rubber vibration-reducing bumpers.
The top plate can be removed from the Alu-Rack by turning each of three quarter-turn Quick-Lock fasteners 90 degrees providing a cleaner look to the motorcycle when the topcase and topplate are not in use.
Givi brakelight kits are 100% compatible with this top plate.
If using a Givi brakelight kit with your SW-MOTECH top plate we recommend also purchasing the Quick-Release Wiring Kit for SW-MOTECH top plates (part EC.TT-00001) so that your top plate will still be removable after you wire up the topcase’s brake light!
Weight of adapter plate: 1.4 lbs

This adapter is very solid and feels very secure, nothing MM about it. Instructions are poor, would surely recommend that you check YouTube for hints on making the install go smoother. The Givi pannier is a snug fit and must be lined up exactly or it won’t go on, this is a good thing as once mounted it’s very secure.

Bought this topcase adapter to go with the Alu-Rack mount for my 1999 CBRXX. I have a few GIVI cases around, and swap them back and forth between my other bikes. The mount (which I will review elsewhere) is super easy to install, and this adapter goes on and off with three quarter-turn adapters in a few heartbeats. Really cleans up the look of the bike when I do not need the top case, and makes for a olid mounting point for my existing GIVI bags when I need them.
Zero complaints!

This is a great innovation for Givi-SW-MOTECH — an adapter that can be removed from the rack in 15 seconds. Three quick-lock screws hold it on, riding against a cam on the rack to hold it secure. The adapter plate is fairly bulky and cluncky looking, so it’s nice to be able to quickly remove it when not using the top-case. Well done!

I have been using the adapter plate now for about three weeks and I’m very satisfied.
My only concern was how well it would fit my GIVI TRK 46L case. Well the fit is perfect like it was made by GIVI. The quick release feature is an extra bonus and the price was about half of an actual GIVI adapter.

Serious safety issue connecting Quick Lock adapter plate to Alu rack. As other reviewers have noted, instructions are extremely poor. If cam lock devices are installed in wrong direction on Alu rack plate your top box will fly off. I lost a brand new GIVI 47 liter box due to this problem. Replace cam lock device with bolt and nylock insert nut using thread locker. Attach box with extra safety connection. Luckily no one got hurt by box flying off bike at 50 mph, but I am out the cost of the GIVI box. How about a simple installation video on You Tube?
