Description
The SW-MOTECH Legend Gear SLC side carrier & LC1 right/LC2 left side bag kit for Ducati Scrambler 800 Desert Sled includes everything needed to add versatility and convenience by creating 23.3 liters of storage capacity with an attractive retro-inspired appearance. Robust tubular steel racks utilize existing mounting holes on the sub-frame and provide an excellent foundation for proper support of your stuff. This handsome Legend Gear kit includes a smaller 9.8 liter LC1 bag on the right and a larger 13.5 liter LC2 on the left side of the Desert Sled for plenty of clearance with the original exhaust. Napalon synthetic leather and wax coated canvas offers excellent strength with long lasting durability and classic good looks.
A fiber-reinforced polyamide attachment system on the back of each side bag permits quick mounting and un-mounting for painless loading and unloading. Please Note: Regular waxing of the canvas is recommended to maintain water repellency and prevent color fading in direct sunlight. For an even more “Vintage Faded” appearance wax less often and increase exposure to sunlight.

I’ve had my legend gear side bags for over a year on my ducati scrambler and I absolutely love them! They are the perfect style for that business commuter look. I also ordered a shoulder strap so I could turn it into a carrying bag and carry them into work. Personally, I think the hard side cases for the scrambler are not as stylish and are too bulky (for things like lane splitting in the city). I also want to be able to walk into work with my side bag and look professional. Even the side carrier racks are not bulky and don’t stand out, if you opt to leave the side bags at home. I usually carry my iPad pro and papers for work in my side bags and they are pretty good at staying dry in wet conditions. However, they do come with waterproof liners that you can use inside them, but I have never found the need and keep them in the bottom of the bag just incase. I know some people are nervous about locking them. But if I ever feel the need to lock them up I usually will just run the wire cable (like the ones used on the disc brake locks) through the cinch down tabs and lock them together. I know it’s not fool proof but it makes it difficult for someone to rummage through them and prevents anyone from walking off with them.
Bottom line I love these bags on my scrambler and use them all the time. I really hope sw-motech continues to make additional style bags that will connect with these side racks as I love their discreet appearance and look forward to the side rack’s versatility if I want to switch my side cases to hard cases.
