Turns out that it’s an excellent kind of madness. The installation of the rack was quite easy. If you ever played with building toys, you’ve got the required skills to get the rack on. Once installed, putting the bags on is quick and easy. They didn’t get any hot spots from the exhaust (one of my primary concerns), didn’t shift while riding, and even when loaded didn’t really feel like there was any extra weight on the back of the bike. The bags alone make the bike weekend-worthy. Throw on a tail pack and a tank bag and you’ve got room for adequate luggage to cover a few days of travel. Absolutely worth it.

These were back ordered and expensive so my expectations for them were high. I was not disappointed. These fit my 2012 Street Triple perfectly. Sturdy construction of the mounting hardware. Nice bags. I’m not a “wrencher” so I was a little concerned about installation, but instructions were clear and specific to my bike. As I said, pricey, but you get what you pay for.
