    Worked like a charm.

Purchased this set for my 2015 Honda CBR650F. Installation was fairly straight forward even for someone like me who is mechanically challenged and all thumbs as a bonus. Handled a 400-mile round trip through some wet weather without issue. I put the dry bags inside trash can liners for a layer of added protection for just such an issue. Everything stayed perfectly dry coming and going. Nice bit of kit to add to your sport bike to permit a little ‘touring’ free-ranging and wanderlust. Didn’t seem to affect my MPG in the least bit. Ride safe, enjoy and keep the rubber on the road.

Easy to install and remove. High quality, German-made which speaks for itself. Well worth the price.

Very functional. Easy to put on and take off.

I commute to work just about every day and got tired of lugging around a stuffed backpack with all the things I need each day. I started to research options for saddle bags with the goal of function over fashion, but a little fashion if it makes sense.

These bags are probably the best you’ll come to adding touring features to your sportbike while still being able to quickly revert back to the stock or more aggressive look when they aren’t needed. (My bike is a CBR but I’m positive the results would be the same for any Ninja or GSXR etc).

Installation was simple. Assemble the bracket, assemble the rod. Remove stock foot peg bolts, attach bracket with (included) spacer bolts, then insert rod and attach bags.

    Very simple. Very functional.

My only ‘complaint’ (if you would call it that) is that these bags are soft, meaning if someone really, REALLY wants to get in them, they can. You can put a lock on them to deter the laziest of thieves, but if someone wants in these, they will make it happen. There is a clip you can insert a cable lock (purchase separately) through to secure it to your bikes frame. However, the bags are easy enough to remove that you could also simply take them with you after you arrive at your destination. They do fold together with a carrying handle. If you are concerned about theft, you will need to look into a hard case option. These Sw-motech’s were pretty pricey, but a metal case is much more expensive, and not as form fitting as these.

If you have a sport bike that is your daily commuter and you need to move your stuff, but you like to let loose in the evenings or weekends, this is a solid option that is worth the money.

Great Bags for Everyday or Short/Long Trip Use!

    Carl

I bought these bags along with their matching seat top/backpack bag last year for my 2014 CBR650F. I absolutely love them! Even my Harley riding friends admire how they transform a sportbike into a vacation/tour riding cycle. They can store enough clothes and extras when expanded to full capacity for weekend or even weeklong trips, while keeping everything safe and dry inside. They also make day trips easier by being able to bring along food/drink/sweatshirt/jacket etc. Be sure to get the combination cable lock system to accompany your purchase to keep items secure during stops or in parking lots. Setup and teardown is quick and simple. When used alone without the backpack seat top bag, a passenger can still ride comfortably with legs well above the sidebags. The bags are very durable and secure -never had an issue with them even at high speeds. Though a little pricey, they are worth every penny as they allow sportbikers to get more use of their cycle. Very happy I bought them.

Excellent product. Great features and well made.

The crux of my review is in the title. I needed some panniers for my 2014 CBR500R and these had great reviews, so I bought them. Fit is excellent, they look great, and are removable in 10 seconds flat. Removing the rods might take another 15 seconds. Not bad to enable you to revert to the naked sport bike look. This is not an adventure bike so a more permanent rack would not cut it for me.

As soon as I got the bags I sprayed it liberally with ScotchGuard for an extra measure of weatherproofing. I also added the Frogg Toggs Smokin’ Toad Heat Kit on the underside of the right bag over the exhaust since that area tends to get warm (though not hot). That was an added layer of protection which is money well spent. Still have not properly applied the anti scuff paint film on the rear side cowls – hard to do properly due to the compound curves and non-stretchy film so there are bubbles and air gaps. Don’t really care enough at this point to re-do.

Cleaning the bags so far has been just a wipe down with a damp cloth. That’s it. I ride in mostly fair conditions so the bags never get fully dirty other than on the faces exposed to the rear wheel. Never had the chance to use the inner rain bags yet.

  6. Superfunkomatic

    Amazing saddle bags!

    Superfunkomatic

These saddlebags are great! I ride a 2007 cbr600rr, which has the exhaust right under the seat, so buying saddlebags is a little tricky with my bike since the exhaust tends to burn the bags. But not these! They stay in place perfectly! No swinging around when leaning for curves or when at high speeds! I’ve used them everyday for about 3 weeks, and I couldn’t be happier! The construction and material is high quality, and the space is good for anything you’ll need to carry! The only reason i gave it a 4 star rating is because the price is ridiculous! I’ve been wanting to buy these for over 2 years and only finally decided to give in due to nececity! If you don’t mind spending the cash, go for it!
