Fits pretty well on rack. Nice peace of mind.

    Randy M

Fits well on my Precision Rack and it’s nice when traveling solo to have some extra fuel. 2 fills however and the o-ring started to leak fuel onto my exhaust. Screwing in a plastic bag helped temporarily until I swapped the spout and prong from another gas can. Manufacturers sent me some replacement o-rings to replace and have on hand.

A strong well made jerry can ideal for motorcycles

    Mickey

I mounted the fuel pack to the front side of my motorcycle trunk. I covered it with a black mesh helmet cover so it is not noticeable. One week ago on my first motorcycle trip to eastern Washington State and Oregon I discovered that many gas stations are closed and fuel is hard to locate. There are long sections of highway with no services. Without the fuel pack I would have ran out of gas 20 miles before the next service station. It will always be mounted on my bike on trips. You will find the fuel pack expands and contracts with the ambient temperature. U have to adjust the mount clamp periodically and also “burp” the air out at the end of the day. Carry a funnel with u to prevent spillage when pouring the first bit of gas into your tank.

    Leaks!

I have 2 of these. They both leak. Manf. says to vent them every day. A real pain when traveling cross country. Within a couple hrs they started leaking again anyway.

I think you could run over it with a truck and it would be ok. Very thick tough construction

solid and well built gas can, highly recommended!

    the high country bear

I’m almost afraid to use the rotopax it looks that good!

Should I run out of gas east of Stockton, Texas, again, I’ll not have to hitch a ride with a pair of righteous thoroughly doobified dudes from Alabama, I’ll simply roast in the 114 degree heat contemplating the rotopax I left sitting next to the microwave back home?

  8. Poncho

Does not leak Fumes or Fuel.

    Poncho

Purchased two as a test for fumes and leakage as I plan to store them in the 4Runner while travelling through Canada to Sonora. Purchased the third one today. Only fault is the height is 3.5 inches. I would purchase a fourth unit but will not fit four stacked under my rear transportation device as 12.5 inches is the existing clearance.
    Best to have fuel!

    No leak design

    DennisM

I bought this to use on my snowmobile and RZR. It doesn’t leak any gas. The only issue I have is filling it completely full and inserting the spout without spilling some gas.

    RotopaX fuel pack

    trafficman

Took this out on a 85 mile desert run on a quad with this past weekend no leaks whatsoever. Can also use on a multitude of bikes that I have for dual-sport, since I only can ride one at a time at this stage in my life.

After adding two of these to my Buell Ulysses, I no longer have to get all panicky when the low fuel light comes on and I’m still in the middle of nowhere!

    Fine design

    Superfunkomatic

RotopaX has to be the safest and most efficient way to carry additional fuel and water. The mounts bolted right up to the SW Motech carrier on my 2013 DL 650 and the addition of the mount locking feature to the double stack adds to the security. Great Product !

    Beats an aftermarket tank.

    Rus

I was about to buy a larger aftermarket tank for my KLX250s (stock tank is 1.9 gal.), but decided to get this 1 gal. Rotopax and mount it to the rear rack. It fits fine and with the low profile my tailbag goes on top with only 2″ additional height. The mount comes off with two bolts when you don’t need to carry the extra fuel.

    Longer range

    Scout

Installed a 1 gallon Roto Pax on top of each of my Jesse bags mounted on a 08 BMW R1200GS. Usable fuel capacity now at 7.3 gallons and a realistic range of 300 miles. Peace of mind for some of the places I ride out west where a 200 range is almost too little.
