I just installed some Denali D4 lights using this mount, and the mount seems to work quite well. Normally it would be very easy to install, but “normal” seems to be a luxury sometimes. I have Hepco Becker crash bars installed, and they interfere a bit with the installation of this mount.
The mount is attached to the bike with what are essentially L brackets. (The remaining length of the brackets contain bends to position the light mount point.) The bracket mounts onto a center line tube that is part of the frame using a longer version of an existing bolt and each side bends 90 degrees toward the sides of the bike and attaches to the frame using existing headlight bolts. Well, Hepco Becker bars use a little bracket along the center tube underneath the headlights, right where the corner of the L bracket is.
The solution I used is not very complicated. I used additional 1/4″ spacers on the center tube to move the brackets outward to avoid the Hepco Becker brackets. This caused the headlight bolt holes to be misaligned, so I drilled new holes that line up with the new position. I could not find actual spacers, so I just used extra nuts. I had to buy a longer bolt to accommodate the extra spacers, so I used a fully threaded bolt. Moving the bracket outward in this manner did cause the outer reaches of the mount to push against the plastic, but once I had the brackets mounted with bolts partially tightened, I could manually bend the bracket just a little without much effort in order to move it away from the plastic.
I probably could have used mounts that attach to the crash bars, but I like the location of the lights better with this mount than what I would have achieved with bar mounts. It looks great!

I used this bar to mount with my Denali D4 lights. Even with large lights it moves them out and away from the fender/wheel and keeps them inside the protection of the crash bars (for SW Motech crash bars). Even if the bike were to fall over (which it will at some point) the lights will be inside of the protection of the crash bars and the handlebar (with something like Barkbusters). Relatively easy to mount and connects with the support on the frame of the bike behind the instruments. A bit tough to get big hands in there but the light bar is solid once everything is tightened down.

Good solid mounting with good mounting points on the steering head stem. However, the point where the light mount does NOT extend far enough. I intended to mount the D4 lights on ‘top’ of the bracket, but there’s practically no clearance between the lights and the body, any tip-over or bumping into the light would damage the body panels. Installing the lights under(hang) the bracket & the front wheel would contact the D4 lights when the shocks are fully compressed. So, ended up making 4″ extensions and mounted the lights. If you have ‘crash-bars’ installed, it’s BETTER to go with Denali universal light mount for the 22~24mm bars…or, if your LED lights are smaller than D4 lights, then this bracke should work.

I bought this bracket about a month ago and installed them easily on my AT. It only took about 30 minutes and they look great. They’re conveniently tucked up under the headlight and don’t stick out past the fairing sides. I’m really glad I got it for my driving lights.
