What is an optical focal point?

We all know that one kid who would burn ants with a magnifying glass on a sunny day. Now imagine the magnifying glass is your windscreen and your motorcycle instrument cluster is an ant. Ouch right?

An optical focal point is the point at which light passing through a windshield would converge on–and begin to damage–your motorcycle… unless you’re using an MRA windshield! MRA uses CAD technology and testing to ensure every screen is completely free of optical imperfections and focal points. Be careful when shopping for windscreens. Read the fine print and disclaimers to make sure your motorcycle isn’t at risk or simply go with the superior choice and install an MRA!

    MRA Spoiler Screen is fantastic

    Tom Furey

I am not one to write reviews because, well…. I don’t. That being said, the buffeting from the stock windscreen was horrendous at speeds over 75 mph, even with my Shoei Helmet. I waited for this windscreen to become available and took the first one that came down the pipe. Originally I wanted the smoke, but took the blacked out windscreen because that is what they had. Gotta say, I do love the look of the blacked out model after all. The install was easy, I actually ordered new hardware to make the job that much more efficient. Once installed, I took the bike up to 100 mph on the local stretch of highway. I am 5’10” and there was no buffeting whatsoever. The wind shoots right over your head just like the spoiler on the back of my buddy’s Camaro back in high school That being said, the wind is loud as all hell, like a tornado as it rips over your noggin, ear plugs are encouraged. I give this product a thumbs up.

    Just enough

I does the job! Instead of the wind blast going into my neck the new shield diverts it just enough to make a proper difference

Simple installation. Directs wind blast from lower torso to clavicle area.
    I’m 5-11 without helmet.

The edge trimmed decided to partially separate itself after 2.5 hours at 75-80 mph, so I removed it and airflow was improved! Smoother with less turbulence.

Overall satisfied with this product purchase and TwistedThrottle.

Best MC Investment I ever made

    Jacob Ford

I was getting hit right in the chin-bar on my helmet with stock windscreen, bought this to hopefully solve that. The air now flows right over my helmet, I’m 6’ tall for reference. Made the interstate a breeze now! Best accessory i have ever put on a motorcycle. Quality product, I’m very pleased

Nice but too much air is directed to the head area while riding. Tall riders may not experience the same as I am only 5’9
