This is the second Kaoko Throttle Lock I’ve had on a bike. But the fit for the Tiger 1050 is flawless. It takes the place of the existing bar end that the handguard connects to. So it’s hardly noticeable that it’s not stock. I find that this throttle lock is very easy to install and use and the build quality is excellent. When on long trips it greatly reduces my hand fatigue. It’s a must-have in my opinion.

After a little learning curve it becomes second nature to use this on the highway. It gives you opportunity to move your hand and fingers when numbness starts settling in. I would be miserable doing a 100 miles on the highway before adding the Kaoko.

Once I had the correct length bold it’s a no brainer. The install was seconds! I took it out for a ride after install and it works like a charm. I like how well made but simple the whole assembly is and it will suit me well for those much needed breaks for my right hand.
I would give 5 stars had I not had to locate an new bolt. I don’t think it’s at all a problem with the product itself but I believe my bike has a set of Triumph “upgrade” taper bars and the location of the threads is just a bit further inboard of the handle end. The stock bolt is an M6 x1.0 60mm length and I had to locate a 70mm for this to mount up. A slightly longer bolt in the package might have been nice but no something that would stop me from recommending this to others.
