Product notes:

1. Neither KAOKO nor BMW itself produce nor supply the M12 x 90mm bolt anymore. BMW used to but they don’t anymore. The 90mm bolt was fitted to pre-2008 bikes (with a 330g end weight); and 2008 to current bikes are fitted with an 80mm bolt (with a 300g end weight).

2. Neither CCF400 nor CCF400-08 are supplied by KAOKO with an M12 bolt in the kit. OEM bolts are used on both assemblies.

3. CCF400 is designed for use ONLY with the original equipment 90mm bolt

a. Since CCF400 requires a 90mm bolt for installation; it will not fit to 2008 – current model bikes as they are supplied with a smaller bar end weight which only requires an M12 x 80mm bolt.

b. Quite simply the bolt is too short; and CCF400 does not fit with an M12 x 80 bolt. The control is too large / big to fit with an 80mm bolt.

4. CCF400-08 is designed to fit the 2008-current model bikes supplied with a smaller end weight and 80mm retaining bolt:

a. CCF400 does not fit bikes with an 80mm bolt.

Heading out on a long journey and after the last one needed that occasional relief of the Throttle hand. Install was very easy, product quality is excellent, easy to use, works like it’s supposed to. All in all very happy.

Just did a 1500 mile ride and this throttle lock worked as advertised! very easy to install and simple to use. A great help on long open roads when you need to give your hand a rest. Highly recommended!

Works great & Installation was a breeze.

    1200GSA

I have always been a little hesitant to use a throttle lock due to concerns about not being able to control it well. This is not the case with the Kaoko, the tension on the grip is just enough to hold it in whatever position you want, and loose enough to easily release just by closing the throttle. Installation took all of about 3 minutes – it really could not be easier. It is now a welcome comfort item on my bike.

    Brilliant on long tourings

Bought this to my old bike and when I sold it and got a new bike this was the thing I missed the most. Ordered it again for the new bike and works well.

    worth the money

    Moto chicken

15 minute install, works great, took a couple of trips to get use to like setting and releasing but it’s the best bang for the buck
