Definitely a hand and thumb reliever on long rides.
Follow instructions carefully. Get the right one for your model bike. Call if needed they’re very helpful. The hand guards I have on my 1200r required I use an extra washer and bolt; and, it took some getting used to using it for the first few dozen miles. But, once adjusted it works well especially on longer highway stretches.

QUALITY: *️⃣*️⃣*️⃣*️⃣*️⃣ (excellent mats, durable)

Ok, being able to change up your hands on long HW rides pretty much overrides any cons…
That said…
If you are not in the habit of physically rolling off before clutching, you’re going to rev it and possibly have some excited shifting.
The same can happen if you tend to grip towards the outside, occasionally adding resistance.
It’s a minor learning curve, and worth it.

too bad I waited so long to buy this cruise. it works perfect, it took a couple of minutes to install, and I use it all the time. I installed on a bmw f700 and I will install another one on my bmw f650 single next.

The Kaoko throttle lock works as intended, but I find it awkward to set. Perhaps I don’t have sufficient dexterity with the little finger, but to set the lock I find that I must hold the throttle with only my thumb and forefinger while fumbling around the other three fingers on my right hand to rotate the knurled knob. Then it’s the same thing in reverse to release it. All in all, I don’t find myself using it very often. Once set, however, I typically only have to make small manual adjustments to the throttle to maintain a relatively constant speed.
Overall, this farkle is pretty pricey for the amount of time that I’ll actually use it.

Way easy to install, even with Barkbusters. Simple to use. Had spacers to adjust for differences between bikes and this was not well spelled out in the instructions. A little pricey but my formerly tired shoulder and wrist are happy not to have to keep a prolonged death grip on the bars.

Out of the box, this pice impresses with its fit and finish. Dead easy to install and fits in with the character of my BMW K1200s. All that said, it’s a bit pricey though, but in the long run well worth it on longer trips on the slab top.

It took me about 10 minutes to install the Kaoko throttle lock on my BMW F700GS with Barkbuster Storm hand-guards.The system works perfectly, and you can easily roll the lock on or off. 10/10 I would buy again.

I bought this just before a family trip to the beach (a 5 hour ride). I am very happy with how it works and would not have a bike with out it. It is very safe as well, I was concerned that as a new rider I would have trouble disengaging a cruise control if I was in a pinch but since the throttle lock does not literally “lock the throttle” but merely tightens it until is holds, thus a quick deceleration is as simple as twisting the throttle down.
