JR3196 –
I bought his shifter to upgrade my factory one. The shifter itself seems to be pretty high quality, I like the wide range of adjustment it has. However the hardware provided seriously lacks. The tolerances in the rod ends are non existent. Out of the box you can roatate the bearing back and forth by hand, little bit of play immediately. I can see this becoming an issue as dirt begins to find its way in there, in time. The bolts are not long enough, had to replace them immediately. If you plan to install them as instructed with the provided spacer, there is no way it’s going to happen without replacing the bolts. Additionally, there were no nuts for th shift rod to lock the rod into place. No threadlocker provided. So as you ride the shift rod length will change. This caused binding while I was shifting and a few false shifts. Had to stop and make adjustment twice within a few hours. Ended up going and purchasing all new hardware, threadlocker, and nuts to secure the shift linkage in place. now it’s problem free. For the price point I didn’t anticipate having issues like these.
