Description

The SW-MOTECH adjustable folding gear shift lever for BMW R1200GS LC / Adventure and R1250GS is a direct replacement for the OEM unit to increase shifting performance comfort durability and aesthetics. High strength lightweight aluminum is CNC machined and anodized to improve durability and resist corrosion. This superb shift lever has the ability to adjust reach by moving the toe peg further forward or rearward from the factory position to accommodate larger (or smaller) boots for optimum shifting performance. The toe peg is also spring loaded and has the ability to pivot up and out of the way if the motorcycle falls or slides to minimize damage that could otherwise leave you stranded with no way to use the transmission. Installation is simple with no drilling cutting welding or other modifications necessary. German engineering and design ensures a precision fit and finish. Install the adjustable folding gear shift lever on your BMW and maximize your ride!

Features:

  • Precision CNC machined aluminum
  • Two piece adjustable gear shift lever
  • Direct replacement upgrade for the non adjustable original unit
  • Adjustable toe peg can be adjusted farther forward and back from OEM position
  • Add the SW-MOTECH gear lever extension for even greater reach
  • Improve shifting with adjustable reach to accommodate smaller or bigger boots
  • Spring loaded toe peg folds up and out of the way in a fall or slide to minimize damage
  • Improved durability off road helps prevent your bike from becoming disabled after a fall
  • Enhanced aesthetic appeal with improved strength over original shift lever
  • Anodized finish protects against corrosion while increasing durability
  • No permanent modifications required for mounting
  • Designed and engineered in Germany
  • Simple to install

Good design but room for improvement.

I received this and began to install which went well, but oddly the kit of items is missing a bolt which attaches the swivel head to the pro shift assist module on the motorcycle, I used the factory swivel head to complete the install. I also was hoping to have up and down adjustment which it only adjusts front and back of the foot peg. I need the adjustment, so I am keeping it but a high price for limited adjustment and a bolt missing.

as good as expected based on the high price

I installed this shifter about 6 weeks ago after bending the OEM shifter on my 2015 GSA. It’s very well made and looks good. Last weekend I destroyed the OEM crash bars and upper crash bar attachment bracket over a series of sub10mph off road falls which were mostly on the same side as the shifter (as an aside the OEM GSA crash bars are complete junk and so un-German). My new shifter however with it’s spring loaded toe piece is still perfect. So even with the high price, the investment is worth it to me.
