The mounting patterns in this mount include a universal AMPS hole pattern as well as horizontal vertical and diagonal RAM hole patterns.
The AMPS hole pattern is an industry standard hole configuration. It consists of four (4) holes located in a rectangular pattern spaced at 1.188in by 1.813in (30mm by 38mm). In most cases the AMPS pattern consists of 8 holes. This allows the mount to be fitted in both a horizontal or vertical orientation. Most third party mounting devices and cradles have the AMPS hole pattern.
Garmin supplied cradles for the Garmin zumo 340 345 350 390 590 595 and 660 require the SW-MOTECH GPS Adapter Kit GPS.00.085.100000.B be installed with this mount.

This is the best way on this Bike to easily mount a secure platform for a Phone or GPS. It sits in a location that allows view of the Dash and does not interfere with a small Tank Bag. o It does make the key a little harder to move around. The only problem is the Navi Bag Pro is too small for a Large Smart Phone.

I had purchased a SW Motech mount before for my KLR 650 and loved it. So when I bought my new Ninja 1000 I absolutely wanted another SW Motech, I love it. Simple mount picks up the fuel tank forward attach bolts and gives a very clean look when I’m not using the detachable quick release cradle/holder. With the cradle installed the position is perfect to hold my GPS where I can see it easily without getting in the way of the ignition switch. This is a rock solid mount, easy to install and remove.

Bought it for use with a cheap Rage GPS. Works very well for it. The price seems high, but having used $5 bar clamps and things, this is way better in the long run.
