Description
The DENALI SoundBomb split dual-tone air horn produces an earsplitting 120 decibels of sound (four times louder than your typical motorcycle horn!) in a compact two piece design for motorcycles that have a limited amount of space. Ear splitting performance demands attention to make your presence known and keep you safe from traffic that might have failed to notice. A 3 foot length of air line is included to allow the powerful horn to be mounted separately from the compressor for the most efficient use of space. The lightweight components can be securely mounted with cable ties. For maximum safety the compact compressor instantly supplies air to the trumpet by pressing the factory horn button. Just put this horn on my bike an its freakin awesome. I got the do it yourself wiring kit and the instructions were next to none in describing what goes were, best I have read. I will be buying one for every bike I get from now on

I mounted the horn in the stock location on my FJ-09 with a slight modification of the existing horn bracket. I placed the compressor under the tank. If you’ve done any electrical work at all, installation with your own wiring is straightforward. I was lazy and also got the wiring kit from TT which makes things even easier.

I put the Denali Sound Bomb on my Triumph 800XC. It’s super loud and works great. Mounted it down on the engine guards and you don’t even notice it. Since I had my dealer install it I can’t comment on the ease or difficulty of installation.

Jrahead –
Definite improvement over the stock horn, and louder than the ear-canon I bought from another manufacturer years ago. The compressor is the same size as the ear canon but the horn half is much larger, making me have to rework the placement. Having the two separate is the only way I could have mounted this on my Vaquero.

Got it and easy enough to install. Just my fault for owning a particular bike. Had to make my own mounts. Also… not quite as loud as I was hoping for once in the open.

Great loud sound. Twisted Throttles service is second to none.I ordered the adapter to go attach to the oem plug but forgot to order the harness so you don’t have to splice in to the wiring. Had the bikes covers off already (PIA BMW K1600GT) they got the harness to me in two days with a discount and no shipping.

I googled for the loudest motorcycle horn after someone pulled out right in front of me and never heard the stock beeeeeep horn.
I am so glad I purchased this one! It’s amazingly loud. I show it off to my friends, imagine that, a horn so cool you blow it for your friends to hear!

My brother and I were literally embarrassed to blow our facrory horns seeing as how we ride the big Victory Cross Country Tour’s. It was like here we are big bad and rumbling down the highway and a beep beep comes from the bike. REALLY! Well thanks to the Denali SoundBomb Split system…no more beep beep! Now we have horns that fit the beasts and they exceeded our expectations by far. I’ve already ordered another DSB for one of our riding buddies because he had to have one!! LOVE IT!!!

I installed this on my K1600GT and absolutely love it. It’s so good I’m thinking of adding one to my car as well.

scout18 –
the sound is massive and great the hose pees popping off though and there is no way to get a hose clamp attached to the recessed stem. I do like that it is not attached to the pump like a competitors and made for remote mounting. Fix the hose attachment point on the horn and you have gold.

I needed a better horn, so that the bike does not drown into the traffic. Nobody hears the stock horn. Well… this one they will. Nice and loud.

I’ve always wanted a non stock horn for my bike and now I got this one. I am very happy with it, it sounds terrific, cant wait to give a wake up blast to some blind & deaf drivers on the road. Easy to install, although I took the tank off to make it easy and fit the wires better. V Strom 650 is supposed to work fine with the compact unit, but I decided to go with the split unit and get some flexibility at installing. I do strongly recommend, it could safe you from a evitable crash.
Someone wrote, having heating problems with the electrical unit, be smart and do not place near to plastic or robber, and maybe do not stick to the horn for so looooooong.
Thanks Twisted Throttle!

Bought this because it had separate air compressor from the horn. Installed the air compressor right above where the horn currently is. It fits horizontally in the space between the shocks. Made a small bracket to secure it better against the frames Y piece. Mounted the horn on the left side. Run it through a Hex Ezcan. This thing goes off along with the current factory horn and stobing lights and is really loud. People stop texting and look at you when they are attempting to roll through all the stop signs.

This horn is easy to install, compact and extremely loud! I ordered the plug n play wiring harness too, which made hooking it up a breeze!

The horn is great. Really loud and happy with it. The relay that came with it was defective. Installed horn and no go. Did some troubleshooting and found fault in relay. Did some reading on forums and this was not first time for a defective part. Guess they had a bad batch but it made the experience less than perfect. If a known problem, should have supplied new relay.

very loud as expected. easy install, once we figured out the wiring w/ the dual horn on my 09 Roadliner. Made a couple mount brackets & a little black paint, you don’t even notice it.

I bought 2 of these horns for my wife and I. We were so tired of drivers not hearing us. Now they do, to see it in their faces is perfect ! My wife loves honking at ALL those drivers that are not looking.
We got the 2 piece unit to make installation and hiding it easier. My wife rides an ER6-N and I ride a Ninja 650. The units with a little planning and some bracket fabrication can be tucked in nicely.
If you value your life and your ride get one of these, you wont be sorry.

I bought several different horns that were “rated” as loud ones, but they never did quite measure up. This is the first one that I could get to fit on my bike without having to install a long air horn for a semi truck. It’s main benefit so far has been in city driving where I need to get the attention of drivers who are focused on their cell phones more than what is going on around them — this horn finally gets their attention! I am still looking for something that will work just as effectively out on the open road, but I would strongly recommend this unit. Installation and wiring was easy. I mounted the compressor inverted and made a weatherproof cap on my 3D printer instead of using a glob of silicone to waterproof the open end that has the wiring contacts as mentioned in the instructions. The horn mounted easily as a replacement for the factory unit. Routing the air hose without any kinks was easy and it was just the right length.

This is definitely a loud horn, much better than stock. I was able to fit this to a Triumph Bonneville but it took some planning on how and where to mount the compressor. It’s larger than you imagine.

Most motorcycle horns are a joke, the Denali SoundBomb is not! Some time off from work around Christmas gave me ample time to do the install. Buy the wiring harness with relays for the horn- a little more money but worth it. The only real problem I had was finding a place for the compressor. My bike is a 2015 Fz1 Yamaha and the only place I found to mount the compressor was in front of the battery. The horn itself is mounted to the left side trim piece on the radiator and is almost unnoticeable. Boy is this thing loud.

I have had the Stebel Nautilus (similar design, not split) on a previous motorcycle, so I knew I wanted an air horn for the added volume. It really gets the attention of those errant drivers who aren’t paying attention. This horn was a much easier install than the one piece, it fits into a much smaller location, actually put the horn itself in the location of the factory horn and the small compressor on the opposite side of the motorcycle in a similar location utilizing zip-ties. The pre-assembled wiring harness is recommended as well, just plug and play and I had sufficient wiring length to go from the battery to the front of my ’16 BMW S1000XR! The most difficult part of the install is removing bodywork, deciding where you are going to put the horn! Now, I have a super loud air-horn, it isn’t visible, and it works every time I need it.

I purchased an upgrade horn system to replace a weak at best factory horn, have used it on several occasions to keep someone from changing lane into my lane, thus, avoiding a side swipe of my motorcycle and I. Defensive driving is always best, horn just gets their attention, especially when texting and changing lanes.

I bought this horn last month for my 2012 Suzuki DR 650. Almost no space for a significant horn, so I thought this two part air horn hoping it would fit somewhere…This horn is plenty loud and an easy fit by removing the gas tank, seat and side panels for wiring. Where does it fit? Well, I did have to remove the original horn and bracket and make a two part mounting bracket bolted to the original mounting point, extending out slightly from the gas tank. This allowed me to bolt the compressor slightly lower than the original horn location and safety wire it in place so as not to allow the bolt to slip out of the compressor mounting slot. By black shrink wrapping (3″ diameter) the shiny metal surface the compressor is stealthy. The horn itself fits right up against the left side of the bike slightly below the carb. forward of the vertical frame member and zip tied to it. The tubing runs under the gas tank to the compressor with 4 inches or more to spare. The horn is tucked into the bike nicely in no danger of damage save a significant crash. I bought the more expensive horn harness and shortened the wires slightly–it all works awesome and looks nearly factory! Sorry step by step no photos, but by taking your time with some aluminum stock the brackets were easy if you’re handy. Here’s a couple pics. Worth every penny! Thanks TT!

Just installed the Denali on my ride and really impressed at the ease of installation. Once you locate a spot to mount it the wiring is a breeze, especially with the wiring harness. The sound this little horn puts out is incredible, really gets some attention when you need it. I recommend this to anyone that runs in traffic, city or highway! Even good when sharing the road with bicycles, let’s em know you are coming up behind them just don’t hit the horn too close to them they might jump and fall off. It is an attention getter!

Though I had to have a custom mount built to mount the horn on my naked-ized FZ1 to the tune of about a hundred bucks, it is by far the most important accessory I’ve ever installed on any of the 33 bikes I’ve owned (installed horn on the last five). A loud pipe does little more than annoy other motorists, but this horn lets specific transgressors know you mean them.

My Buell Ulysses was fitted with a Stebel one piece air horn that the Denali horn starts out as. It was a great horn, but never really fit behind the flyscreen on my bike well. And because it was behind the flyscreen I figured some of the volume was being muffled. When it died I decided to try the two piece with better fit and more volume in mind. WOW! The compressor fits much better and is now securely mounted as it should be, and having the horn itself outside where it belongs really unleashes the incredible sound this monster produces. Look out daydreaming cage drivers!!! If fit might be an issue for you, go this way and be glad.

I was considering the Denali SoundBomb Split Dual-Tone Air Horn, and when I was offered the event discount at the 2016 BMWMOA Rally, I couldn’t resist. I installed the compressor under a side panel using home made mounts, and installed the trumpet under the headlamps of my Triumph Rocket III, just using several strong cable ties. I cut down the Triumph horn cover to make room for the larger Denali. I had to extend the air line about a foot. I made my own harness. The horn works great, is very loud, with zero time delay, and I have been told that the installation almost looks stock!

Two piece horn is a great idea as I don’t have the space for a single piece to hide on the Harley. I managed to fit the horn behind the cowbell and compressor behind the front cowling out of site. Recommend product!

I bought this recently and had my bike dealer install it for me. At 2:15am, the horn started blaring. The short version is that the compressor overheated while sitting in my carport. It actuated the horn and started smoking. It shorted out /burned out about the same time I got the battery disconnected. The compressor was so hot, it burned my hand when I reached in to disconnect the wires from the unit as well. Let me tell you, it sucked pretty badly.

I purchased this to replace a Stebel Horn unit that was impossible to mount to my 2014 Triumph Speed Triple. Installation was fairly straight forward with the usual removal of seat, one side panel and raising the tank. Horn unit mounted easily to the factory horn bracket. A huge plus…. I then mounted the compressor under the seat support bracket which required drilling an existing hole to fit the M8 bolt supplied with the kit. The only negative was that the 42″ supplied air hose was 8″ too short for my installation. See pics for where I have temporarily spliced it until I can locate a replacement. Wasted almost 2 hours driving around in search of hose. Other than that I am very satisfied with end result

The hardest part was mounting both pieces on my 1999 Honda ST1100. After removing a lot of plastic, I was able to fit them into the fairing. They were right when they say it’s loud – OMG!!!

I get the concept of having a louder horn for riding. Totally in favor of it. However, this product has issues with being attached somewhere on a motorcycle. Horrible mounting accessories to attempt to mount the sound bomb to the bike. The only part that was not a hassle was attaching to the battery. The compressor unit is heavy and the cannot be mounted just anywhere.
I would not recommend this product. It really needs to be redesigned to have better mounting attachments to a bike.
The horn is loud and does its job, just a horrible mounting experience.

Since few people follow the law about cell phones, I decided to replace the cry-of-the-kitten horn that came with my KLR650. Now when someone is wandering into my lane I give a wake-em-up blast from the Sound Bomb. Very amusing at times. I put this purchase off for a couple of years because I was being cheap. It is worth every penny because it just might save your life. It was a little difficult to find enough room on my bike to install. Partially because KLR’s are compact and because I am picky about the quality of installs on my bike. I don’t like stuff falling off or getting in the way every time I do maintenance. This horn is well built and f***ing loud. I paid $25 for the wiring kit. Worth the money for the plug and play time savings. It helps makes a tidy install. You know you want one. So quit being cheap and get one.
