Fitment Note: This mounting bracket does not fit R1200GS/R1250GS/Adventure models with lowered suspension.

IMPORTANT: Before the 2016 model year BMW changed the fairing mount in the R1200GS (not the Adventure) which influences how the DENALI horn mount fits the bike. Mostly this change affects the 2016 bikes but we have heard that could affect 2015 models as well. How can you tell which one you have?
  • If the location where the horn mount is to be attached has an M8 bolt threading from the right (throttle) side of the bike into the welded nut on the left (clutch) side of the bike you have the later style and this mount WILL work.
  • If the location where the horn mount is to be attached has an M6 bolt threading from the left (clutch side of the bike) into the welded nut on the right (throttle) side of the bike you have the earlier style and this mount NOT work. Click here for the part you need

R1200GSA-LC 2016 specific mount (bolt mounts from right/throttle side to welded nun on left/clutch side) Low Chassis interference

I have a low chassis R1200GSA-LC and mounted the Soundbomb using the Denali specific BMW mount bracket. On large bumps the telelever does come up and hits the horn. I was also concerned about how the hydraulic brake line was routed into a sharp S bend to go under the horn… I’ll need to relocate the horn!

Just following up… It appears that I’ve left a 5 stars rating (somehow my prior comment was saved before I completed it…). Other than the interference with the Denali recommended location, the mount parts to appear to be high quality. And, I assume that this hasn’t been mounted on the Low Chassis bike- so just giving others some heads up!
