design is great. have now had it on for 6 mo.and 4k miles.. The aluminum top plate showed heavy signs of corrosion within a month and I dont live in salted road areas or even in wet areas.. Deseet SW and the top plate still corroded. Although no other aluminum on the bike has. something is funky with the top plate material.

This might be an updated version as I didn’t have the issues that were described by some people in their feedback. It fits perfectly, no looseness at all, and very well made.

The kickstand in the picture is not that of a ’16 Africa Twin and the SW-Motech foot does not fit completely right. It works and it won’t come off but on the wife’s Africa Twin it’s not near as form fitting as the one I have on my Tiger.
My opinion is that maybe Motech will redesign this? Maybe wait on this purchase.
It’s nothing against Twisted Throttle .. these folks rock. Motech just didn’t really put as much attention to detail on this product as they usually do.
