Description

Prevents the stand ‘piercing’ the ground & ensures though enlarged the shoe does not affect ground clearance or interfere with the chain run during your ride.

Each unit assembles in no time by clamping together with three countersunk Allen bolts.

The R&G Racing Side stand Foot Enlarger effectively disperses weight applied by your motorcycle to avoid the sidestand from sinking into freshly tarred surfaces or soft terrain.

 Features:

  • Enlarges the original’s footprint by up to 100%
  • Spreads out the load of the motorcycle
  • Will not affect ground or swing arm clearance
  • Smooth edges prevent snagging and catching

    Excellent product, highly recommend

    2015HRC

I have a 2015 Honda CBR1000rr and had near misses with my bike both in my driveway and at work due to both being asphalt. The kickstand has such a small foot that it sinks into hot asphalt like a stake causing thee bike to lean over to the point of falling.

After exhaustive research I opted for the R & G kickstand shoe. It was $46 and some change I believe but apparently no one in the US stocks them so it had to be ordered. 6 weeks later I finally got it.

The materials and quality are excellent. Machined perfectly to fit the kickstand foot.
Many reviews were negative due to the short bolts used to clamp the foot between the top and bottom of the shoe. After a test fit I figured out why so many had issues (or at least I believe its the same issue I had).

The kickstand itself has casting lines not ground down/cleaned up. For obvious cost and necessity reasons there is no point to do so stock.
The casting lines cause the shoe to sit ever so slightly off center so the bolt holes do not align perfectly. Since the bolt heads are recessed slightly in the shoe top when tightening them they would not recess properly causing the short threads to strip before being fully tightened.

I took a dremel and slightly removed a small amount of the casting lines from both the front and back side of the kickstand where the top of the shoe opening fits around the kickstand. The holes now line up perfectly, the shoe fits like….well……a glove, and the bolts tightened easily without any concern of stripping.

No issues with interference of any kind, no issue with the added weight causing the kickstand to fall easily from the up position.
The bike does sit slightly higher but no where near enough to cause tipping or any other issues.
The shoe does not sit perfectly flat on the solid ground, the rear (largest portion of the shoe) hits first but is plenty to stabilize the bike. On softer ground the shoe sits perfectly supporting the bikes weight evenly across the shoe footprint.

Overall I am completely happy with the purchase, no more worries of finding my bike laying in the driveway or at work in the parking lot.

I highly recommend this product to anyone facing the same issues with soft/uneven parking surfaces.
