    Good quality product but

Quality product with only a fair rating on fit to my NC700X. The left side of the fender a bit too close proximity to the tire for me. It does extend far enough over the tire to protect the rear shock from wet and muck and is good quality except for that one thing.

    2 yr Review

Alright, first things first – this is a part that you honestly wouldn’t expect to get a review on, any time before its been on the bike for less than 6 months…When I bought this in ’14 there were already reviews…whatever. So, here’s the deal. It looks good on the bike. It seems like its fairly durable. Its clearly a piece that is made to fit a huge number of bikes, that gets more or less of the mounting area trimmed off depending on what bike it’s for. Not knocking it, its a good idea. But clearly the one i got must have been made on a bad jig or something – the holes all lined up ok, so I stuck it on and went with it. About a week after I had put it on, I noticed it was crooked. This was annoying but, that’s only because that kind of thing bothers me. Last fall (so, fast forward 2 years) a buddy tells me “hey man, you know that’s rubbing on your tire?” I told him, no its not, its just crooked…I just finished up fixing it…in the last 10 minutes…it was definitely rubbing the tire, likely when I hit bumps or whatever. Remember I mentioned it appears that they trim the extra off based on a jig? They definitely trimmed too much off on the exhaust side. I had to re-drill both bolt holes so that it would fit correctly, but now, I think it may rub even more when I ride, because on the chain side, there isn’t as much base to support it and now the gap around the tire is more even…As long as it doesn’t get snagged and yanked into the tire or chain while riding I’m fine with it. Lastly, even with it being crooked on the bike, it definitely does work, I ride when I can whether the weather cooperates or not. This has definitely helped keep the underside of the bike clean, so there’s that.

    Better Looking

    Gary

Even though I haven’t installed it yet; I chose this over a lesser priced one, because it’s better looking, and a little bigger. I only wish it was a 3/4 fender, as it appears to be a 1/2 fender.

A little pricey, but worth more for appearance.

Needs work to fit right, not worth $192.

Purchased this hugger for my NC700X. The material itself is of good quality but the installation holes were off by as much as a half inch on one side so some redrilling was required. I also did not care for the shape of it and reshaped it to be more aesthetically pleasing.
