Description
Design Update: June 14 2011 Updates have been made to increase durability and fit adjustments have been made to allow fitment on the XC model. It is about ½ inch shorter its made of thicker (6mm – was 3mm) & new material (Polypropylene was acrylic-capped ABS) which is unbreakable. It has reinforced mounting points. This improved hugger has an extra mounting mechanism at the front of the swingarm hook & loop fastener. R&G had some breakage problems but R&G has quickly reacted to fix this issue. After extensive product testing on the bumpiest roads with full luggage and heavy riders (one month and 2 000 miles for one bike and one month and 1 500 miles for the other) they are confident that this combination of fixes make this the best rear hugger for the Triumph Tiger 800 & Tiger 800XC on the market.

Found this on the internet, recommended by my son. Nice product that looks good and fits perfectly. Easy to install. A little expensive for a piece of plastic, but good product for keeping the underside of my bike clean.

you didn’t have to move the chain guard over to install it. It mounts between the chain guard and the swing arm so it moves the chain guard over just enough that the chain isn’t 100 percent covered. I don’t know what they could do to the design, but it’d be nice if it fit over the chain guard so the guard stayed in its original location. Despite that drawback, its a quality item and fits well and does the job.
