The engineers screwed this one up. The centrestand does not go over centre far enough so that the bike comes off the centrestand way too easily. You always have to tie the stand forward with a ratchet strap to make it safe to work on.

A very sturdy center stand. It lifts the bike A LOT ! Easy to install except for the center stand spring . You might need some help.

Bought this last riding season (2017) for my 2016 africa twin. Delivered quickly and in good protective packaging. Thanks Twisted Throttle.
Installation was simple enough. Center stands works great and makes it a lot easier to clean/lubricate/tighten your chain. Would also make it a lot easier to take off your tire if you’re stranded out in the middle of no where with a punctured tire.
This stand is also way less expensive than honda’s factory center stand. Very happy with my purchase. Would buy again.

Easy way to attach the spring. Take a cord and make a loop with the spring hook on one end and the rope looped through a rear wheel spoke. Move the bike forward and you will stretch the spring towards the rear. When it gets to the attach point pull the cord to the side and move the bike backward. Easier with two but I did it by myself. No tool needed no spring flying around the shop. It works.

I will never understand why “all” bikes don’t come with center stands from the factory, but since they do not, out of many I have purchased this one is probably the easiest to install of them all, the function is exceptional making the bike very easy to lift for an old guy. Highly recommend this c/stand for all African Twins.

Pretty simple to install especially with a spring puller, good ground clearance and the foot lever sits further back than OEM so no clashing with passenger pegs, also a about $200 cheaper so its great value

Bought this a couple weeks ago. Installation was straight forward and simple, the spring was somewhat frustrating but with a long flat blade screw driver and some muscle it did the job. Looks good and functions smoothly. Makes chain lube, oil change, and other maintenance so much easier.

Applebox –
The kick stand is so short on the Africa twin that the centre stand is a must to keep the bike upright when parked and to get that back wheel off the ground.
Twisted throttles stand was an easy install other than that HD spring! Since I didn’t have a proper spring tool it took a few tries and a bit of muscle.
Recommend the right tool over an old screw driver any day!

Installed in about 15 minutes and fairly easy to get the spring on with just a heavy duty flathead screwdriver and it works awesome easy to put up on the stand

The stock Honda centerstand for my motorcycle is well over double the price of this SW Motech stand. From what I can tell, it offers equal function and looks to be equally durable to the OEM unit. Installation was easy, with the exception of installing the spring. You have to get creative here. I was able to pry the spring on using zip ties and a crow bar. Overall very happy.

Makes routine maintenance so much easier.Setting both springsides during installation is awkward buy a spring puller to avoid scratching or chipping the powder coating
