COVID-19 and it’s impact on our operations
While we strive to maintain business as usual, delivery times may be impacted by current COVID-19 as we work with a limited warehouse crew and cope with uncertain supply chains. Please check your order in your My Account page for the most up-to-date order status. We kindly ask that you contact customer support with any questions you may have regarding delivery of your order. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we navigate these unusual times.
What do the stock statuses in this website mean?
We use several stock statuses in our website. These are:
- In Stock – These items are in our warehouse and available for immediate shipment.
- Available to Backorder – These items are not currently in stock, but we normally keep this item in stock. Place your order now to get the next available unit when it arrives.
- Special Order – We do not stock these items, but we can order them. Upon receiving your order, we’ll order the items to be shipped to us. Lead times vary by supplier. Items in stock at domestic manufacturers will usually ship to you within 1-2 weeks. Items in stock at foreign manufacturers will typically ship to you within 2 to 4 weeks. Items that need to be manufactured may take longer to arrive.
- Discontinued – These items are not in stock and are no longer available from our supplier. They will be removed from our website 90 days after the last unit is sold. In the meantime, if one is returned to us, the item will temporarily become available again.
When will my stuff ship?
We ship Monday – Friday. Orders for in-stock items will usually leave the warehouse on the same shipping day for:
- FedEx orders placed by 12:30 PM EST Monday – Friday
- USPS orders placed by 12:30 PM EST Monday – Friday
Orders placed later in the day than the above cutoffs will usually ship the next business day. Orders placed Saturday and Sunday will ship the following Monday.
Freight orders may take 2 – 4 business days to ship based on order size.
Once shipped, when will my stuff arrive?
Estimated transit time via USPS Priority Mail is typically about 2-3 days within the US and about 6-10 days within Canada. USPS Express Mail transit time is typically about 1-2 days. Sundays and federal holidays don’t count as days in transit. USPS does not guarantee transit times.
FedEx shipping methods have specific transit times that are met or bested more than 97% of the time, so if you need to be certain of your delivery date, FedEx is usually a better option than USPS. See the map above for estimated FedEx Ground shipping times to your location. FedEx Ground Home Delivery delivers Tuesday – Saturday; FedEx Ground Commercial and all express services deliver Monday – Friday.
Most of our products can not ship outside the USA and Canada. International orders that are shipped outside of North America could be delayed by customs or other reasons for up to 30 days. Some International orders may be reviewed prior to processing to insure product, size and weight restrictions are met. If any issues are identified, you will be contacted with updates prior to your order shipping out.
What if I need to get my stuff by a specific date?
If you are in a time crunch, please call us to place your order, and we’ll help you pick the shipping method most likely to meet your desired delivery date. As we don’t drive the delivery trucks, we can’t guarantee the delivery date, but we will do everything in our power to get you the goods when you need them!
What if I am ordering from and shipping to Canada?
Effective January 1st, 2022, Canadian customers will not be charged GST/PST/HST, duties, or clearance during checkout on our website. Those fees, if any, will be charged directly to you by FedEx , UPS or USPS at the time the package is delivered. Goods are shipped via FedEx and typically arrive within 4-6 days of shipment from our Rhode Island warehouse. Most motorcycle parts are duty free, but some items we sell (primarily crash protection, luggage, and electronics) are dutiable when imported to Canada from the USA (if not made in the USA). Returns from Canadian customers can be shipped to our Canadian return address, thus avoiding the complexity of an international return shipment. All orders are processed in USD.
What if my stuff is not in stock?
We will ship in-stock items immediately and ship other items as they become available. There will be no additional charge for us to ship those items separately. International orders with out-of-stock items will be shipped complete once all backordered items have arrived.
Where can I have my stuff shipped?
We ship worldwide, including APO/FPO addresses. Sometimes very large items cannot be shipped, or will require additional oversize fees from what the website specifies. Some Electronics such as GPS units, Cameras and Radar Detectors cannot be shipped outside of the US. In these cases, we will notify you before processing your order. We recommend using USPS Express Mail or Priority Mail for international shipments to avoid the high brokerage fees charged by FedEx.
Can you send my order “signature required”?
Domestic orders placed through our website are shipped without “signature required.” Currently, we offer FedEx “signature required” shipping as an option only for telephone orders. If you do not have a secure place for FedEx to leave packages, please call us to place your order and request that we send it “signature required.” Due to the increasing frequency of stolen packages, we strongly urge you to request “signature required” for orders over $750. Call us at 855-255-5550 to place your order with a signature-required shipping option for a $12 fee. If you choose not to have your order delivered signature required and your package is stolen after delivery, Twisted Throttle can provide the information you need to recover your funds from your credit card company but we cannot be held responsible for the shipment.
If part of my order is not in stock, do you ship complete or partial?
Orders normally ship complete once all ordered items are in stock. If you’d like the in-stock components to ship before the rest of your order is available, you may either place two separate orders (one for in-stock items, one for out-of-stock items) or call us and request partial shipment. Partial shipments will incur an additional shipping charge if smaller than our free shipping threshold. We can also suggest in-stock alternatives for speedier delivery.
Where does my order ship from?
All orders are billed in USD and ship from either Exeter, Rhode Island or our suppliers’ warehouses (drop ship items), depending on the quantity of stock in each location. Orders may ship in multiple packages so that each item gets to you as soon as possible.
